In October 2013, the developer Ugo Colombo from CMC Group Inc. purchased the Brickell Flatiron Park for $21 million. At that time, rumors flew that a tower might one day be built on the site. This dream eventually comes true...
Indeed Ugo Colombo joins forces with his newly Russian partner Vladislav Doronin from Capital Group in order to develop a stunning high-end tower to be called Brickell Flatiron.
The Brickell Flatiron is about to add a new note of luxury accommodation in the heart of one of Miami's hottest residential markets. A soaring tower with superb design and a full range of amenities is set to meet expectations of the most discerning condominium owner.
The Brickell Flatiron condo will be located to the north of the Metromover tracks and the current Flatiron Park. Its name comes from the triangular shape's resemblance to the old-fashioned clothing flatirons. But it is also famously associated with the iconic Flatiron building at Fifth Avenue and Broadway in Manhattan. In order to honor this legacy, it comes as no surprise that the Brickell Flatiron condo designed by the architect Luis Revuelta has a triangular shape too.
Goals of the Revuelta architectural firm of balancing aesthetics and function are fully realized in this signature structure. The sinuous, curvilinear facade, inspired by the unusual triangular property, blends Moderne lines with 21st-century materials. Deep elliptical balconies beyond glass-walled interior living spaces will provide for stunning views.

I can't wait for this very promising project to take shape! Now eve Miami has its Flatiron... but a much more modern and upgraded version of it ;)
