One Brickell City Centre, planned as a focus of the ambitious regeneration of the heart of the Brickell neighborhood, is scheduled to tower over other Miami condominiums, literally and figuratively. Designed to easily surpass the height of Miami's current tallest structure, the 64-story Four Seasons Hotel, the 80-story One Brickell City Centre will provide a state-of-the-art mixed-use environment tied to the center of Miami's thriving business district.
The president of Swire Properties, Inc., the developer of the site, has said that the goal of One Brickell City Centre is to artfully mix its many elements while at the same time advancing Brickell Avenue's stature as one of Miami's premiere destinations. This would be in keeping with the heritage of the site as having belonged to the very Brickell family that originally developed the area and a nod to the Northern Trust Bank that has sold the 1.5-acre site at 700 Brickell Avenue.
The dramatic contours of this prominent residential and business tower are being provided by the prodigious talents at Arquitectonica, one of Miami's most prominent design firms. The design keeps in mind the limitless views of Miami and the ocean while itself serving as a luminous beacon to Brickell. The early phases of Brickell City Centre include:
Class-A office space.
A luxury hotel.
A signature restaurant.
A top-floor lounge.
Various elements of the Brickell City Centre are scheduled to open in 2015, including the 263-room hotel, 89 serviced apartments, condominiums and office space. Linking the development will be the visually breathtaking and innovative Climate Ribbon, described as a trellis system that uses active and passive environmental controls to provide protection from the elements.
Swire Properties hopes to make One Brickell City Centre the front door to Brickell Avenue and an extension of the city's Special Area Plan. The entire development, from its Metromover light rail station to its large-scale sustainable urban development design, is slated to be a looming presence in the future of condominium development in the Miami area. Think now of getting in on the ground floor and making this condominium part of your future.
