Have you heard of Renzo Piano? The infamous architect that was selected by TIME as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2006. He has done The New York Times Building in Manhattan, The Shard in London (which is Europe's tallest skyscraper), The Maison Hermes store in Tokyo and the very modern Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris! It is with great excitement that I am sharing the news that he is coming to Miami!
He is taking part in the project called Eighty Seven Park on 87th Street and Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. The only mention of his name makes the project sound very promising. Units will range from 1 to 5 bedrooms knowing that 75% of the square footage of each unit will be balcony space! They will be 37 feet deep. You can also expect 2 pools, a private spa, their own 1 acre park to the north of the building. I heard the developers - Terra Group - who did Soundscape in Miami Beach are injecting $10M in the renovation of the park!
Even though completion is planned for 2017, the 64 units - ranging from 4000 to 7000 sqft - are already available. Concerning the prices, 1 bedrooms will start at $1.65M; 2 bedrooms at $2.8, 3 bedrooms at $6.6M, 4 bedrooms at $11M and the prices for 5 bedrooms have not yet been released. All of them have great views on the ocean and the park from both sides. The idea being is to be literally in the middle of a park.
