CAN A HURRICANE HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON REAL ESTATE ?

Hurricane Irma made headline news when it decided to pay the world a visit. It triggered the biggest evacuation in the United States' history. Thus, it is reasonable to evaluate Irma's impact on the real estate market.

Here is the surprise ! There is actually a spike of demand. Short-term rentals have gained popularity mostly due to people seeking refuge after being displaced. There is a surge of people coming from affected areas such as Florida Keys, US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Also tourism for this winter could be redirected to Miami.

People are also migrating back into mainland from the US Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico. This means that sales of condos/houses could be increasing this winter due to a high demand. In other words, Miami real estate is not slowing down anytime soon !

CHOCOLATE HAVEN: EL CIELO RESTAURANT

If you are a foodie just like me, you will absolutely love El Cielo Restaurant. It was recommended from a friend of mine and I had the most incredible dining experience here.

Opened in 2015 by Juan Manuel Barrientos, this restaurant was awarded as the Top 50 Best Latin American Restaurant. The title was given as the chef uses unique molecular gastronomy techniques to make his dishes.

If you are coming here, there is one thing you must absolutely try: the Chocolate Therapy. The waiter pours a warm chocolate fondue right onto your hands and you have to indulge with your tongue. i won't show you the video my friends took but we had fun ! It's truly once in a lifetime experience and will definitely leave you speechless !
